Basic Policy on the Handling of Personal Information

The Cooperative recognizes the importance of personal information, complies with the laws concerning personal information, and protects the personal information of customers by appropriately acquiring, using and managing all information handled by the Cooperative in all of its business activities.

Appropriate acquisition

The Cooperative acquires personal information by lawful and fair means.

Specification of the purpose of use

When acquiring personal information, the Cooperative specifies the purpose of use. If provision to a third party is planned, such provision shall be done to the appropriate extent, only after clarifying the purpose and scope of use.

Restriction on use for unintended purposes

The Cooperative restricts the use of personal information to the scope of purposes specified in advance, and shall not use personal information outside such scope without the consent of the customer.

Protection/management

The Cooperative takes the necessary and appropriate security measures for the personal information it retains, and appoint a person in charge of management in each department to handle personal information for the appropriate management of personal information.

Confirmation, correction, etc.

When customers request confirmation, correction, deletion and the like of their personal information, such requests will be responded to after confirming that such requests are made by the customers themselves.

Purposes of use of personal information retained by the Cooperative

The personal data retained by the Cooperative is used for planning, arrangements, coordination, travel advice, business operations in general (including communications, delivery of documents, arrangements, fees and billing of travel costs) and customer satisfaction surveys.

Procedure to respond to requests for disclosure, etc.

If customers themselves or their agents request the notification, disclosure, correction, addition, deletion, suspension of use, or erasure of personal information (hereinafter referred to as “Disclosure, etc.”) retained by the Cooperative, the request will be responded to within a reasonable period of time and scope after confirming that the request was made by the customers themselves.
